Arbisyam go top with win over NFT U20

ARBISYAM FC displaced NFT U20 (national under-20 futsal team) at the summit of the Brunei Futsal League 2017 and sent them to their first defeat after a 4-2 victory in a top of the table clash last night.

The victory puts Arbisyam on 11 points from five games while NFT U20 are two points behind with a game in hand.

Ak Muhd Khairul Huda Pg Osman gave Arbisyam an early lead before Abd Azim Bollhassan equalised for NFT U20 just over a minute into the second half at the Multipurpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

Arbisyam then netted two goals in quick succession courtesy of Syazwan Hj Hassan and Muhd Azizul Syafiee Tajul Arifin to take control of the game.

Syazwan then killed off the encounter completely with his second of the match with just over three minutes left before Abd Azim scored a consolation for the under-20 side, who will now shift their focus to the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Under-20 Futsal Championship in Thailand.

In the other game, a Syahremy Karim double lifted Eagle Blues FC to their first win in the competition after edging Rizfiz FT 2-1.

Ak Mohd Jamil Pg Hj Jaludin found the back of the net for Rizfiz in a losing effort.

The competition continues on Friday with Arbisyam taking on basement dwellers Najip FT at 7pm at the same venue.

The second game pits Shah United against Rizfiz at 9pm.
