Arbisyam open up seven-point lead at top with win over Rizfiz

ARBISYAM FC moved seven points clear at the top of the Brunei Futsal League 2017 after a 3-1 victory over Rizfiz FT last night.

The win stretched their unbeaten run to seven games and they are now on 17 points while second-placed Shah United FC, who have two games in hand, are on 10 points.

Shah United can cut the deficit should they be able to overcome two-time defending champions Kota Junior today at 9pm.

Arbisyam carried a one goal lead into halftime courtesy of Muhammad Ali Qadhrry scoring off a corner kick from the right at the Multipurpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

They doubled their lead through Ak Muhd Khairul Huda Pg Osman just over two minutes into the second half.

Mohamad Sarif Nayan responded for Rizfiz over a minute later before Muhd Rifdi Meludin rebuilt a two-goal cushion with over 10 minutes left enroute to the victory.

The earlier game saw MS ABDB (Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council) notch their first triumph in four games after a 6-2 drubbing of Blue Eagles FC.

Lkpl Ak Kamarulzaman broke the deadlock for the armymen just 30 seconds into the ecntouner.

Ak Muhd Zairul Mubin Pg Adruman equalised for Eagle Blues before MS ABDB netted three without reply through Lt (U) Ahmad Wafiy Muhammad, Lkpl (U) Mohammad Zairul and Kpt Zulazri Gapor to carry a 4-1 lead into the break.

The armymen added to their tally after over 12 minutes into the second half with Lkpl (U) Mohammad Zairul bagging his second of the game.

Kpl Ranozakhran Tajudin also got his name on the scoresheet before Muhammad Nur Yusri Yunus scored a consolation for Eagle Blues two minutes from the buzzer.

MS ABDB will be in action again today as they take on Najip FT at 7pm.
