DPMM FC were handed their heaviest defeat in the S.League after being humiliated 9-3 by Home United FC at the Bishan Stadium in Singapore earlier tonight.

Their previous heaviest defeat was also against the same side at the same grounds last season where they fell 5-0 and this time they conceded six in the opening half.

Faris Ramli netted four goals, which included a 24-minute first half hat-trick, and added four assists to his name.

Croatian forward Stipe Plazibat added a double while Khairul Nizam, Adam Swandi and Song Uiyong all got their names on the scoresheet in the lopsided win.

On the other hand, Rafael Ramazotti, Shahrazen Said and Adi Said scored for the Brunei side.

The matchup was a stark contrast to their first meeting on March 3 which required Singapore No 1 goalkeeper Hassan Sunny to make 12 saves to ensure the Protectors walk away 3-1 victors at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

DPMM FC only fielded two import players - with defender Zeljko Savic the other - after the release of forward Billy Mehmet and new signing Daud Gazale having to wait before making his debut.

Home United broke the deadlock in the 21st minute with Faris chipping past an onrushing Alizanda Sitom in between the DPMM FC sticks.

Faris then tapped home his second of the game off a low cross from Plazibat on the half hour mark.

Plazibat then netted two quick goals in the 33rd and 36th minutes to make it 4-0.

The Protectors made it 5-0 in the 41st minute off the counterattack with Faris assisting Nizam.

They were not done as they added another just before the halftime whistle with Faris scoring from 12 yards out to complete his hat-trick.

The halftime team talk didn’t do anything for the visitors as Home United needed only four minutes into the second half to add to their tally with Adam blasting it into the top corner.

Ramazotti grabbed one back the next minute but it was 7-1 in the 56th minute before Song’s shot deflected off the Brazilian to restore a seven-goal cushion.

Faris scored his fourth of the game three minutes later after rounding Alizanda to put it into an empty net.

Shahrazen got his name on the scoresheet after getting at the end of his younger brother Adi’s cross in the 64th minute.

Adi did score another consolation off a freekick from just outside the box late on.
