THE national synchronised swimming team are looking to bounce back stronger after their debut yesterday at the 29th SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur.

The duo of Jacqueline Lim and Nur Hafizah Ahmad finished at the end of eight teams in the Duet Technical event after tallying 50.9759 points.

Singapore won the gold on 75.1791 points followed by Malaysia with 74.3659 points at Bukit Jalil.

Indonesia completed the podium with 68.9504 points.

The duo was disappointed with the result but believe they can do better for the Duet Free event on Sunday.

“Unfortunately our first performance didn’t go as we had planned and hoped,” said the pair in an interview coordinated by BASA (Brunei Amateur Swimming Association) yesterday.

“We can do much better than what we did today (Friday) as we have proved from previous competitions (Japan Open).

“We still have one more event so we have to stay focused on that and we will do better,” they concluded.
