Busiido BJJ Club begin Copa De Malaysia with six bronzes

BUSIIDO Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Club bagged six bronze medals on the first day of the Copa De Malaysia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Four of the medals came from the club's female competitors in the gi category, while the other two medals were from the male gi category.

The eight-athlete team will continue their battle today in the no-gi category at the Jaya Shopping Centre.

The biggest BJJ tournament in Malaysia, Copa De Malaysia strictly follows the rules applied by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF).

One of the most accomplished BJJ clubs in Southeast Asia, Busiido BJJ club will also be competing at the Pan Asian BJJ Championship in the Philippines next week.

The club are also preparing for next month's Copa De Bangkok Thailand and the World Master Jiu Jitsu Championship in Las Vegas in August.
