Good outing for Brunei athletes at Pangazou Borneo 2017

BRUNEI athletes had a good outing at last weekend’s Borneo Pangazou Functional Athletics Tournament 2017 in Kundasang, Sabah.

Nina Juna of Extremis Athletics, who finished runner-up at the recently concluded Test of Will 2017 Regional Finals in Kuala Lumpur, was the biggest winner after finishing at the top of the podium in the women’s Rx category with 12 points.

Stephanie Liew of Hybrid Movement came in second on 17 points to complete a one-two for Brunei.

Mayul of Extremis Athletics also got on the podium in the men’s Rx category placing third with 19 points.

Zeb of JC Functional Training Facility won the event on 15 points followed by Matt Cass from Training Ground BKK-East West Crossfit with 17 points.

Hybrid Movement - Darren Chai, Daryl Chai and Stephanie Liew - came in second in the team event with three points more than winners Fuel Prime A.

Over in the men’s scaled event, Hybrid Movement managed to get two athletes on the podium.

Ben Goy claimed top honours followed by Emmanuel Chok of PX5 Functional Gym.

Max Wee shared third place with Master Hii of Crossfit 1722.
