The duo of Zaki Hj Abd Wahid and Baharuddin Zainuddin placed third and fourth respectively with 28 points at the Menara Cendana Kenangan Amphitheatre in Kuala Belait.

“The water condition is different compared to Serasa, which is a bay. While over here we were racing in a river so conditions couldn’t be worse than Serasa,” said Tan in an interview with BruSports News after the race.

“I would say it was a nice race because the track is quite a long stretch.

“We had a few battles between positions 3, 4 and 5 in the early stages of moto 2. That was very exciting,” he added.

“A lot of the audience found it very thrilling. Overall, I think that everyone enjoyed it,” continued Tan.

He currently leads the overall standings ahead of the final leg of the competition to be contested at the Serasa Sports Complex next month.

When asked on whether he can take it all the way, Tan replied: “I will try my best. I have the confidence but will just need to train a bit more.

“Currently I only train on Sundays when I'm able to,” he added.

He went on to thank the Brunei Jet Sports Association (BJSA) for successfully hosting the event as well as Sehat for sponsoring the event.
