Orange Esports Hawk claim PUBG title

ORANGE Esports Hawk bested 63 other teams to win the first round of the Player Unknowns Battleground (PUBG) competition of the Mobile Games Open over the weekend.

Hosted by the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, the champions walked away with a cash prize of $500 coupled with winners’ shirts.

Rojak Gaming claimed the runner-up spot and $300 while Rock Paper Scissors completed the podium and took home $200.

Present to give away the prizes to the winners aws the president of the Esports Association of Brunei (ESB) Adul Azhiim Latif.

The next round for the PUBG event will be held this Friday till Sunday and the same amount of prizes will be handed out.

Meanwhile, Mobile Legends and Call of Duty (COD) are the other two games that will be contested.

The former will be held from Dec 6-8 (1st round) and Dec 20-22 (2nd round).

On the other hand, COD will be from January 10-12 and Jan 24-26.

Registration is still open for both games and teams can register by contacting the esports coordinator at 8914525.

ESB hopes to see more aspiring esports athletes join them in future regional tournaments.
