LABUAN
A group of young fitness enthusiasts from Brunei representing GetFit Brunei and The Cardio Club took on the BCG Youngstars, held alongside the HYROX Mini Simulation 2.0 organised by BCG Fitness in Labuan.
The youngsters, who have been training under Coach Rachael Lee for less than three months, challenged themselves in individual age-group events designed to test endurance, strength and determination.
Competing in the 11–13 age group were Ethan Lam, Anson Lam, Aydin Damit, Avery Han Hearty and Isaac Lee, with Isaac securing first place in his category.

In the boys’ 14–15 category, Caelen Law finished third, adding another podium result for the group.
For the young participants, the event was not only about winning. It was an opportunity to experience competition, put their training into practice and challenge themselves outside their usual training environment.
Despite their relatively short period of training, all the youngsters completed their respective events and gained valuable experience in functional fitness competition.
Coach Rachael said the focus was on encouraging the children to do their best, build confidence and enjoy the experience of competing.
The adult members of the group also recorded strong results at the HYROX Mini Simulation 2.0, with Rachael Lee finishing first in the Individual Female 16–39 category and Husni Damit taking first place in the Individual Male 40 and above category.

Their performances added to an encouraging outing for the Brunei-based fitness community and gave the younger participants the chance to compete alongside adults who share the same enthusiasm for fitness.
The event provided a positive platform for the children to develop confidence, discipline and sportsmanship while discovering what they are capable of through training and competition.
