DSP United stay top of DST Premier League with win over Tabuan Muda B

DSP United remained at the top of the DST Premier League with a 5-2 win over Tabuan Muda B (national under-17 football team) last night.

They are now on eight points from four games followed by both Setia Perdana FC and Tunas FC, who have a game in hand, a point back.

Md Hafiy Danin opened the scoring in the 26th minute and the lead was doubled by Abd Hafiz Azmin four minutes later.

Ak Md Amirul Mu’adz Pg Kamshulzaman got his name on the scoresheet in the 36th minute to see them take a 3-0 into halftime at the Sungai Kebun Sports Complex.

Tabuan Muda B got back in the game with two goals in a span of four minutes with Azinur Awg Hj Jufri netting three minutes after the interval before Md Salleh @ Abd Salam Hamzah added a nother.

Abd Hafiz bagged a brace to help DSP United restore a two-goal cushion in the 67th minute before Md Fawzan @ Hafiz Hj Abu Kasim completed the victory.

Over the Berakas Sports Complex, Tunas notched their second victory in three games after edging Panchor Murai FC 4-3 with a late winner.

Both teams look to share a point from the encounter before Abg Md Fakhri Abg Jaluddin netted in the 90th to seal all three points for his side.

Ahmad Asyraf Saudian had put Panchor Murai in front in the 12th minute before Md Ari Saizulfadhli Ariffin 11 minutes later.

Sauhaimi Anak Sulau bagged a brace in a span of seven minutes to put Panchor Murai up 3-1 at halftime.

Md Azril Md Ali converted a penalty in the 55th minute and the game was level the next minute with Abg Md Fakhri scoring his first of the match before the late drama.

The tournament will now take a break and continue in July.
