DPMM FC II crowned 2025 Brunei FA Cup champions

DPMM FC II successfully defended their FA Cup title after edging Indera SC 1-0 in the final on Sunday.

DPMM FC had won the competition when it was last contested back in 2022.

Luis Matias Hernandez's second half goal separated the two sides at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

Hernandez rose the highest to power home a corner from Kenshin Ueno past Ansanuddin Dani in between the Indera sticks in the 73rd minute to settle the tie.

Hernandez, who was named the man of the match, finished as the tournament's topscorer with seven goals to his name.

The winners walked away with a cash prize of BND 5,000.

Meanwhile, MS ABDB claimed third place after beating reigning Brunei Super League champions Kasuka FC 4-3 on penalties.

The two teams had played out to a 2-2 at the end of extra time at the Balapan Track and Field in Berakas on Friday night.

The FA Cup is currently in its 14th edition and featured a total of 12 teams separated into four groups of three.

The top two teams from each group progressed to the next round where a home-and-away format was first introduced.
