DPMM FC sign off from Singapore Premier League

DPMM FC signed off from the Singapore Premier League on a high after a 3-2 win over Hougang United on Saturday night.

In what was their sixth consecutive victory, the Brunei side finished fifth overall in the nine-team standings with 44 points.

Hougang United had the perfect start after going ahead just under two minutes into the encounter at the Tampines Hub.

Shodai Yokohama dribbled into the box and unleashed a shot past the outstretched arm of Haimie Nyaring.

DPMM FC equalised through Davis Ikaunieks (Pictured, Courtesy of Singapore Premier League) in the 33rd minute.

Miguel Oliviera placed a perfect thoughball for the Latvian forward to fire past Zaiful Nizam.

He bagged his second within a minute after the interval with a golazo.

A header from the opponent's half saw him blast it from 20 yards out leaving Zaiful with no chance.

The Cheetahs levelled for the second time in the 68th minute.

Yokohama laid it off for Dejan Racic to place it into the top right corner.

DPMM FC went back in front after Oliviera outpaced his marker down the left to score.

Substitute Parinya Kaochukiat almost helped Cheetahs grab a point 10 minutes into injury time.

His strike from 30 yards out had Haimie beaten only for it to come back off the crossbar.DPMM FC still have a chance to finish with silverware this season.

They will look to overturn a 3-2 deficit against the Lion City Sailors in the second leg of their Singapore Cup semi-final clash on Tuesday.

The Brunei team have been confirmed to contest in the Malaysian Super League next season.
