MINIMAU dispatched Hoopsters 42-34 for an opening win in the women's category of the YOU.C1000 Cup on Sunday.
Chenelle Moo and Candy Jong poured in 12 points each to pace Minimau.
Leilani Stowers was the only player in double figures for Hoopsters with 11 points while Cheryll Lim notched nine in the loss.
Minimau stuck their noses in front 8-6 at the end of the opening frame at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
Hoopsters turned it around to put up 19 second quarter points - with Lim accounting for eight - to take the lead at 26-22 at halftime.
It was in the third period that Minimau regained control of the game to outscore their opponents 14-3 - limiting them to a single field goal - enroute to victory.
In the second match, Car Care cruised past V United 94-60 in men's Group C.
The former had five players hit double digit scoring.
Santos lead the way with 16 points followed by Corpuz with 15.
Datuin and Comeros chipped in 12 apiece while Jameel added 11 to his name.
On the other hand, Ramil Valdez produced a game-high of 21 points to lead V United.
Gabriel Rosco contributed 19 to a losing cause.
