EASYWAY waltz their way into the quarter-finals of the YOU.C1000 Cup after a 102-54 victory over Jedstar in Group A on Wednesday.
The match was expected to be a fast paced encounter and it showed in the first couple of minutes at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
Easyway then conducted a 15-0 run in a span of three minutes to open up a 20-6 lead midway through the opening frame.
Jedstar were not helped by their poor passing which were easily intercepted leading to points on the break at the other end.
They also gave out a handful of fouls allowing their opponents to get to the line.
It was soon difficult to manage as Easyway led 36-12 going into the second stanza.
It was more one way traffic and the lead ballooned to 30 points after a Darren Lee layup to make it 49-19 with three minutes to the break.
Things got a bit fiery and physical but it didn't matter in the end as Easyway stuck to the plan to easily finish off their opponents.
Jake Chong led all players with a game-high of 28 points for Easyway.
Lim Liang Wei added 22 and Jonathan Lim poured in 20.
On the other hand, Jan Kenrick paced Jedstar with 11 points.
The duo of Prince Marco Torres and Christopher Lacerano dropped 10 points apiece in their exit.
The competition enters the last-eight with matches taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
