THE national junior wushu team amassed a total of two gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the recently concluded 12th Asian Junior Wushu Championship in China.
The duo of Abel Lim and Gwen Lee Yen Xi finished top of the podium in their respective events at the Pegasus Watertown Culture and Sports Indoor Stadium in Wuxi City.
The former won the boy's youth group nanquan event after tallying 9.423 points.

On the other hand, Lee took home the gold in the nanquan event with her score of 9.096 points.
Meagen Keasberry won Brunei's first medal after finishing runner-up in the taichi event.
Her performance landed her a score of 9.253 points while Vietnam won the event by a differential of 0.047 points.
Samuel Ong finished on the podium twice – winning silver in the taichi sword event and snagged the bronze medal in the taichi event after scoring 8.873 points.
Brunei ended their outing with a silver medal finish in the girl's duilian event.

The trio of Lim Wanxin, Bella Lee Tseen Qin and Belle Lee Tseen Se tallied 9.350 points to only finish behind Hong Kong by a margin of 0.016 points.
Macau completed the podium with their haul of 9.333 points.
Brunei had sent a total of 10 athletes to contest at the July 24-29 tournament.
