DPMM FC ready for Malaysia Super League

DPMM FC have confirmed their roster for the upcoming Malaysia Super League season.

A total of 26 players put pen to paper on Tuesday during a signing ceremony at a hotel in Gadong.

There are plenty of new faces as each team is allowed to register a maximum of 10 foreign players but only six can be selected for a matchday squad.

Out of the six, only four are foreign players while the other two are to be an Asian player and ASEAN player respectively.

Macedonian goalkeeper Kristijan Naumovski, who first joined in June 2023, will return in between the DPMM FC sticks.

Portuguese winger Miguel Oliviera is the other foreigner retained from last season.

They are joined by Brazilians Jordan De Paula Rodrigues and Michel Americo Dos Santos, Ghanaian Prosper Boakye Owusu and Australian Jordan David Murray.

Muhammad Ramadhan Sananta (Indonesia), Amani Santos Aguinaldo (the Philippines), Tommy Mawat Anak Bada (Malaysia) and Muhammad Syafiq Ahmad (Malaysia) round off the foreign players.

Azwan Muhamad Saleh, Muhammad Hakeme Yazid Said, Abdul Mu’iz Sisa, Safwan Zawau Sazalee, Muhammad Haziq Naqiuddun Syamra and Mohammad Danish Firdaus @ Hadi Syazwan Roddy Suhardy have all departed the club.

There are only three new faces on the local front with the trio of Mohammad Fairuz Zakaria and brothers Muhammad Martin Haddy and Md Hariz Danial Haji Khalidden signing on.

Mohammad Syafiq Safiuddin Abdull Shariff, Muhammad Faturrahman Embran, Abdul Hariz @ Amani Herman and Mohammad Nazry Aiman Azaman are all in their second year.

Skipper Muhd Azwan Ali Rahman, Mohammad Najib Haji Tarif, Muhammad Hanif@Abdul Hadi Hamir, Md Nur Ikhwan Othman, Nazirrudin Haj Ismail, Pengiran Yura Indera Putera Pengiran Yunus and Muhamad Hanif Farhan Azman are the mainstays.

The duo of goalkeepers Mohammad Haimie Nyaring and Muhammad Ishyra Asmin Mohd Jabidi complete the roster.

DPMM FC will open their campaign against PDRM (Polis Diraja Malaysia FC) on August 9 at the Majlis Perbandaran Selayang Stadium.

A meeting against Selangor follows just three days later at the MBPJ Stadium.
