CJMM advanced to the final of the YOU.C1000 Veteran Basketball Cup after a 79-67 win against GHK on Monday.
Having missed the last game, Reymundo Maquiraya looked sharp and notched 23 points to lead CJMM.
The front court duo of Lu Yong and Elvin Requintin dropped 16 apiece in the triumph.
On the other side, Ben Sim put it all on the floor and produced a game-high of 26 points to pace GHK.
Kenny Lim Teck Wee was the other in double figures with 18 in a losing effort.
CJMM came out storming and quickly jumped out to a double-digit lead at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
Requintin caught fire from behind the arc as he dropped four consecutive treys without reply in the second stanza and the advantage ballooned to as large as 21 points.
GHK regrouped and eventually cut the deficit to within two possessions.
The game was both for the taking for but CJMM switched gears towards the end of the third period.
They closed out with a 7-0 run to make it 67-51 going into the decisive frame.
CJMM continued where they left off to start the fourth with six unanswered points leading to a timeout by GHK.
The latter were turning the ball over easily and CJMM punished them on the break.
GHK were held without a field goal and got one to go with six minutes left as the scoreboard read 78-54.
The basket gave GHK a lifeline as they dropped 13 unanswered points over the next five minutes.
But it came a little too late as CJMM were in no danger of letting things slip.
