DPMM FC picked up their first home win in the Malaysia Super League after triumphing 4-2 against Imigresen FC 4-2 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

The result took the Brunei side off the foot of the table and into 10th place with eight points from 10 matches while Imigresen are just a position above with a point more.

The hosts started on the wrong foot as they conceded just five minutes into the game.

DPMM FC goalkeeper Haimie Anak Nyaring had thwarted an attempt by Eduardo Jose Sosa only for Wilmar Jordan Gil to pounce on the rebound from close range.

It was a wakeup call for DPMM FC as they equalised in the 12th minute through shipper Azwan Ali Rahman.

He made his way past the Imigresen backline before firing past Muhammad Zarif Irfan.

They went in front in the 21st minute as Hakeme Said scored off a simple tap in with Jordan Murray the provider.

Hakeme added a second just six minutes later with a cool finish from inside the area.

It started pouring after the break but the visitors remained poised to find ways to get back into the match.

They came close 10 minutes after the interval as Nik Akif had his powerful shot from outside the box denied by the cross bar.

DPMM FC thought they had extended their lead just before the hour mark only for the flag to be raised.

Four minutes later, a chance went begging for Imigresen off the counter attack but Mohammad Fayadh Zulkifli had his attempt stopped by Haimie.

They finally got back in the match in the 70th minute.

Azwan Ali was dispossessed in a dangerous position and the ball was played through to Gil.

The latter was then brought down in the box and the Colombian stepped up to convert from the spot to make it 3-2.

Gil came close to a hat-trick minutes later but his shot from eight yards out bound for the bottom right corner was kept out by the quick reflexes of Haimie.

DPMM FC soaked in all the pressure and it was Miguel Oliviera who ensured his side take all three points.

He put the match to bed with a magnificent strike from the edge of the box four minutes before the end of regulation.
