CJMM completed a sweep of the preliminary round after a 102-89 win over GHK Motors in the first match.
Ahmad Termizi Hj Noordeen led the way for CJMM with 28 points and Kenny Lim poured in 27.
Reymundo Maquiraya added 17 and Yih Luan was the other in double figures with 10 in the triumph.
On the other hand, Lim Boon Teck notched a game-high of 29 points for GHK.
Lim Fung contributed 24 while Kho Leang Teck and Tan Ye Wei chipped in 18 and 11 respectively.
Over in the second game, Kinderflair Basketball Team eased past Cuckoo 120-73.
It was all one-way street from top off with Kinderflair leading 35-9 by the end of the opening period.
Richard Tugbo topscored for Kinderflair with 22 points and Ryan Fracisco added 20.
Jomel Datuin posted 14 and the duo of Gabriel Co and Wisley Tumamao posted 12 each.The pair of Jason Oliveros and Ronnie Vinluan also got into double figures with 10 apiece in the lopsided win.
On the other side, Voon Yiew Ting dropped a game-high of 34 points for Cuckoo.
Kevin Tay added 13 and the duo of Jong Guo Zhang and Liew Kok Fui scored 10 each in the loss.
The competition resumes this Sunday with a dead rubber between Linktech and Kinderflair at 7pm.
