A TOTAL of 25 referees received their certificates after completing the five-day Domestic Youth Refereeing Course at the NFABD (National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam) House yesterday.
NFABD Referee Department Chairman Zulkifli Hj Duraman presented the certificates to the participants, who are mostly from the NFABD Under-16 Elite Youth Cup and NFABD Under-16 Youth League.
According to a press release from NFABD, Zulkifli said that he was impressed with the level of commitment and discipline shown by the referees during the court.
Zulkifli, who is also the Chairman of the Brunei Darussalam Football Referees Association, added that he wanted to see referees improve their quality of work and was confident that they can move up to the next level and referee in the DST Super League and DST Premier League.
Four local instructors facilitated the course and it covered both theory and practical lessons.
