Hui Huang had the better opening period as they used a 9-0 run to jump out to a 13-5 lead midway through.

A half court heave by Esmond at the buzzer put them up 23-15 going into the second quarter.

BruPay started the second frame with eight unanswered points to tie the game with just under three minute elapsed.

Han Ming Kwang finally broke the duck with a basket for Hui Huang and they stuck their noses in front 33-30 midway through the period.

Hui Huang could have added more to their advantage but missed a handful of easy baskets to lead 44-33 at halftime.

Hui Huang got to work down low by utilising their size and extended their lead to as large as 16 with the scoreboard reading 74-58.

BruPay made a last throw of the dice with two minutes left in the game by applying full court pressure defence but it was little too late as they fell to their first defeat in four games.

The second game saw Bandar Estates extend their unbeaten run to five games in Group A after defeating TK Tea House 95-86.
