Tropang FBC looked set for victory in their Group C encounter before Nuctech tied things up at 68-68 with just over two minutes to play.

Lim Chong Nam gave them the lead and Vincent Tie made it a two-possession game with a three with over a minute to go.

Mike Nuguid knocked down a pair of freethrows with 26 seconds left to put his team within reach.

Nuctech turned the ball over on the inbounds five seconds later but recovered with a defensive stop.

The game looked over after FBC were whistled for an unsportsmanlike foul right after.

It was deja vu as Nuctech once again turned the ball over from the inbounds.

Nuguid was then fouled where he made his first free-throw and purposely missed on the second.

He may have got away with a lane violation enroute to the offensive rebound before cutting in for the game-tying layup to send the game to overtime at 73-73.

FBC led by as many as seven points in the extra frame with three minutes to play.

Their opponents got to within a point but Nuguid completed a three-point play to make it 86-82 with 29 seconds to play.

Nuctech came up empty handed the next possession and Anthony Alliawan would put the game to bed with a pair of free-throws.
