JONEL Terrado dropped a game-high of 30 points to power D'Barkadz to the final of the YOU.C1000 Cup after hanging on for an 84-78 win over SGTB on Wednesday.
Jomarie Corpuz added 17 points as he was limited to only three in the second half at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
Ernesto Espique had a good game with 13 while Patrick Rubillar was the other in double figures with 12.
On the other hand, Allen Salvador topscored for SGTB with 28 points while Gerald Balaota notched 18 in the defeat.
D'Barkadz looked set to make the final after outscoring their opponents 27-17 to open up a 71-58 lead going into the last frame.
SGTB then clawed their way back after a series of missed shots by D'Barkadz.
The game went down the wire after Aries Castro slashed to the hoop for a layup to cut the deficit to 74-79 with under two minutes to play.
However, his son Arvin was whistled for an unsportmanlike foul on Reynald Gali the next play.
The latter split the ensuing freethrows but with ball possession, Terrado was fouled and he made both his charities with 1:12 on the clock.
Balaota made both from the freethrow line the next play.
D'Barkadz came up empty handed and Arvin made a good cut to score from under the basket to make it a three-point game.
SGTB fouled immediately on the inbounds to stop the clock.
However, Terrado hit one to keep it a two-possession game at 82-78.
Alsaid Jauhali of SGTB raced up the floor but his three-pointer fell short.
Terrado then put the game to bed with two more from the charity stripe.
