Arjay Mata poured in a game-high of 23 points to lead Jedstar - 11 of them coming in the fourth quarter.
Jan Kenrick dropped 20 points and Sheldon Sulaik added 15 in the triumph.
Marcus Lim was the topscorer for Peak with 19 points.
Tung Yee Keong was the other in doubles figures with 18 in a losing effort.
It was evenly contested in the opening period with Jedstar edging ahead 14-12.
They were utilising their speed to attack on the break at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
The gap was widened to 37-25 at halftime as Peak struggled offensively.
They cut the deficit after the break and trailed 51-46 heading into the decisive frame.
Mata then came up huge for his side in the final 10 minutes - knocking down 3 treys to guide Jedstar to victory.
The tournament resumes with Ekonic up against Tech G in Group D at 7pm.
The second match pits OBS against Digimark in Group B at 8.30pm.
