TECH G progressed into the quarter-finals of the YOU.C1000 Cup after defeating Car Care 110-98 in a foul plagued matchup on Sunday.
The encounter saw a total of 63 fouls at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
Tech G had distributed scoring with six players hitting double figures.
Jem Lasian (picture) had the hot hands to finish with a game-high of 30 points.
Nikko Pon-An added 16 and Kenny Ulbida notched 15.
Jonel Neo contributed 12 while the duo of John Jayzenn Leviste and Mario Pahimutang Jr dropped 10 apiece.
On the other side, Ernesto Espique topscored for Car Care with 21 points.
Comeros provided 19 and Jameel added 16.
The pair of Santos and Corpuz chipped in 13 and 11 respectively in the defeat.
Tech G got off to a good start to open up a 27-13 lead at the end of the first period.
They then outscored their opponents 37-22 in the second period to extend their lead to 29 points at halftime.
Lasian had already notched 19 points by the break.
Car Care managed to trim the deficit to 86-64 by the end of the third but their fightback was simply not enough.
The earlier game saw Linktech eased past Hoopsters 57-27 in the women's category.
Saralyn Mospa was the topscorer with 13 points while Chloe Chen added 11 in the win.
Cheryll Lim led Hoopsters with seven points.
The tournament continues on Tuesday.
TK/CJMM is looking to complete a sweep of Group A when they take on Peak at 7pm.
The second match pits Wan Sing against OBS at 8.30pm.
