CJMM snatched a 50-46 victory over Propel x Teik Goldsmith to finish top in the women's category of the YOU.C1000 Cup on Monday.
Propel x Teik Goldsmith led the entire game before CJMM finished the match with an 11-0 run at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
Nur Hafizah Hj Abd Sidek posted a game-high of 24 points to lead CJMM.
Suzanne van der Marel was the other in double figures with 10 to her name in the win.
Chloe Chen was the only player in double digit scoring for Propel x Teik Goldsmith with 16 points to a losing cause.
Propel x Teik Goldsmith had the better start thanks to the hot shooting of Vanessa Pang in the opening frame.
She knocked down three treys in the quarter - her only field goals in the match.
Alexus Wong connected on a jumper at the buzzer to put them up 15-10 going into the second stanza.
It was a physical affair and both teams got into the penalty early.
Propel x Teik Goldsmith extended their lead to as large as nine points.
But they went cold from the field after the midway mark to see CJMM close the gap to 31-26 at halftime.
Chen kept her side in front after the interval with eight points in the third period.
On the other side, Fizah was getting to the hoop to score and things went down the wire as CJMM stayed within reach at 39-34 heading into the decisive frame.
They got to within two points but a three-pointer by Chen saw Propel x Teik Goldsmith back up 46-39 with four minutes left.
That was eventually their last point of the match.
CJMM clawed their way back and the game was tied courtesy of a stepback by Fizah with 1:35 on the clock.
They went in front for the first time after Fizah found Marel for an easy deuce under the basket to make it 48-46 with 44 seconds to play.
Pang had a three-pointer roll in and out and they were not helped by a turnover the next possession.
Fizah was then fouled with 8.2s seconds left and iced the game by making both her freethrows.
The semi-finals will be contested on Tuesday.
Propel x Teik Goldsmith will face off against Mango Cake at 7pm followed by a matchup between CJMM up and Hoopsters.
