BRUNEI’S fitness athletes had a triumphant outing at the All Out Games 2026 in Manila, the Philippines over the weekend.
Team Triple Daddy Torque, comprising of Husni Damit (GetFit), Luc Devaux (Shine Cycle) and Jonathan Ooi (Jab Gym), clinched the Men’s Team Masters All Out division.
Siblings Darren and Daryl Chai together with Wai Zhi Fong came out on top in the Men’s Team All Out event.
Over in the Men’s Individual All Out, Edwin Yap (GetFit) came in second place at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
The trio of Rachael Lee (GetFit), Sylvia Ling (Peak Club) and Mariam Dimanlig (BSRC The Rig), competing under Team The Mrs, missed out on a podium finish after placing fourth in the Women’s Team Masters All Out division.
The CrossFit competition tested a broad range of fitness domains from endurance and gymnastics to strength and weightlifting.
Across the weekend, athletes were tested through running, burpees, pull-ups, weightlifting and much more.

Each workout challenged them in different ways, testing speed, strength, coordination, endurance and, most importantly, the ability to work together as a team.
No two workouts were the same, and each presented its own unique challenge and was a true all-round test of their fitness, adaptability and teamwork.
Ooi was ecstatic with their overall performance to see them finish at the top especially at a regional meet.
“I’m very happy with how our team performed over the weekend. It’s never easy travelling to another country to compete against international athletes, so I’m incredibly proud of how well we represented Brunei,” said Ooi.
“We went out there with a game plan for each workout, executed it well, and managed to come home with first place.
“Hopefully, performances like this can encourage more Bruneians to train, compete, and challenge themselves both locally and overseas,” he added.

Yap was pleased to take the runner-up spot in the individual event and is looking to improve further.
“I came into this competition just wanting to do my best, so finishing second is something I’m really thankful for,” said Yap.
“Overall, I am very happy with how it turned out and this has motivated me to train harder and work on my shortcomings,” he added.
Lee hopes that they can be an inspiration to other female athletes to take up the sport.
“Coming into this event after being away from competitive CrossFit for a while, our main goal was to support each other and perform to the best we can together and showcase the sport of CrossFit to inspire more girls in Brunei to participate,” said Lee.
“I am very proud of Sylvia and Mariam for giving their best despite our lack of team training together due to work commitments and working out at different gyms.
“This returning CrossFit competition for us girls gave us a better idea of our weaknesses and we are reignited now to train harder for our next one,” she concluded.
