GRANT Goddard had the best possible YOU.C1000 Cup outing as he helped Propel x Teik Goldsmith secure the title.
The Dutchman averaged 25.7 points through six matches - finishing with a perfect - at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
He felt that all the work and time put in simply paid off.
"In preparations, we were in here everyday for the past weeks together with my teammates to get to know one another as I'm new to the team," said Goddard in an interview with BruSports News after the triumph.
"They embraced me, we worked it out together and it paid off," added the Dutchman.
The 25-year-old put up 28 points in the final including six treys.
After scoring 11 points in the first half, he knocked down three treys in the third.

He then powered a 7-0 run late on to give Propel x Teik Goldsmith the lead for good.
"It goes back to training as I haven't played a lot here," he said.
"And I came in here to practise with the rims but credit to the team working altogether," he added.
Goddard also won the three-point contest after finishing with 14 points ahead of Chan Yung Ken (Easyway) and Ahmad Termizi Hj Noordeen (Fateh).
"I was not expecting to win but my score of 14 was better than the last one," he said.
"Was expecting some others to come out on top.
"But everyone who participated did their best and it was a good turnout," added Goddard, who works as an educator at JIS.

On the other hand, Amboy's Cup playing coach Allen Salvador felt that his side did all they could but ultimately fell short.
"We followed our gameplan but we didn't control the boards and our opponents were hard to guard as they were tall," said Salvador.
"Unfortunately, they got it done at both ends including their outside shooting.
"We gave it our best shot but credit to team Propel as they deserved to win," added the 35-year-old.
"They were hardworking and were working as one unit compared to us as we lost our focus.
"But overall I'm proud of this team and we will come back stronger," he concluded.
